How are Ethics and Sponsorship related?

Sponsorship is when an entity (eg. a company), gives support to another entity (eg. a sporting club), in return for recognition or advertising.

Sponsors always want a reward for their sponsorship. It is never simply a gift.

Sponsorship can sometimes involve a conflict of interest if the parties are not cognisant of each others ethics.

Sponsors and recipients must do their due diligence before committing to contractual relationships.
