How are Ethics and Freedom of Speech related?

Freedom of Speech is a construct implemented by a state in an attempt to guarantee individuals the right to express an opinion even if it is not popular.

Exercising the right to freedom of speech, comes with a responsibility to deal with the possible disagreements from others.

The only way the right to freedom of speech can work, is if the state pro-actively protects individuals from acts of forced suppression.

Freedom of speech does not include freedom of action. Individuals have the right to voice an opinion, but not the right to actions like protesting on public roads. This would interfere with others rights by blocking their path in their daily activities irrespective of whether they agree or not.
