How are Ethics and Human Rights related?

Human rights are the link between the moral code of humanity and the legal code of society.

Human rights are based on moral principles defining an individual's freedom of action in the social context.

There is one fundamental human right - the right to life, which means the freedom to take all actions required to support the individual's life but not at the expense of others.

Human rights apply to the freedom of action only - to act using reason for an individual's own goals. Others have no right to violate this right.

Property creation and ownership (both physical and intellectual), are the result of an individual's right to act and sustain life through effort.

If humans do not have the right to produce, then there is no means to sustain life and therefore no human rights.
